Angela Ponce will strut her stuff on the big stage after winning top spot in a 23-contestant qualifying pageant in her native country on Friday.
The 5ft 9in beauty queen, who first identified as a woman when she was three, will compete at this year's Miss Universe in the Philippines.
Angela, 26, couldn't contain her emotions as fellow contestants rushed to congratulate her on the big win.
Dressed in a stunning frock, she fought back tears as she posed with the coveted prize.
After her win, a delighted Angela revealed her dreams of becoming an ambassador for "inclusion and diversity".
She said: "Bringing the name and colours of Spain before the universe is my great dream.
"My goal is to be a spokesperson for a message of inclusion, respect and diversity not only for the LGBTQ+ community but also for the entire world."
Ms Ponce, from Seville, previously represented Cadiz when she competed in the Miss World Spain contest, the Daily Mail reports.
She was beaten to the top spot by Miss Barcelona.
But there was no disappointment this time around for the Spaniard.
Her big win came on the same weekend that Spain celebrate its LGBTQ community with its Pride parade.
The Miss Universe contest is the most high profile beauty pageant in the world.
On it's official website, organisers say they aim to "empower women to develop the confidence they need to achieve their personal best".
