Four persons including a baby have been confirmed dead after their vehicle plunged into a river at the boundary between Edo and Ondo States. The accident was said to have occurred at the Ofosu Bridge and it involved a green Toyota Sienna.
A female was said to have survived with injuries. A lawyer, Barr. Jefferson Uwoghiren, captured the moment divers attempted to rescue victims from the vehicle as a dead baby was pulled out.
Edo Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Anthony Oko, also confirmed the incident and attributed it to over speeding.
