Melania Trump Returns To White House After Surgery

Melania Trump is back in the White House on Saturday morning after undergoing a kidney procedure earlier this week that saw her hospitalized for several days. The First Lady had an embolization procedure on Monday for a kidney condition that was unspecified, and after a few days of rest is in “high spirits,” according to a release from the White House communications director.

Melania spent the week at Walter Reed Military Medical Center near Washington following the procedure. The White House communications office sent out a release on Saturday stating “The First Lady returned home to the White House this morning. She is resting comfortably and remains in high spirits. Our office has received thousands of calls and emails wishing Mrs. Trump well, and we thank everyone who has taken the time to reach out.”

On Wednesday, the First Lady tweeted her gratitude to the Walter Reed Medical Center: “A sincere thank you to Walter Reed Medical Unit @WRBethesda & to all who have send good wishes & prayers! I am feeling great & look forward to getting back home @WhiteHouse soon.”
