Hundreds Of People Besiege Kogi Hospital As Baby Disappears Few Hours After Birth [Photos]

A kogi woman has lost her baby just few hours after delivering the bundle of joy. The baby was delivered at Peniel Maternity and Clinic popularly known as Mummy's hospital at Anyigba in Dekina LGA, Kogi State.

According to a relative of her husband, Fitumi, the baby was delivered early hour s on Sunday morning and got missing few hours after. Fitumi revealed the baby was under the care of a nurse on duty before the sudden disappearance of the baby.

Police were however called in and the nurse was interrogated. According to reports, she couldn’t give a vivid explanation and she was taken to the station.

Hundreds of people however besieged Anyigba Police Station demanding the transfer of the maternity nurse to vigilante officials who would torture and force her to confess the whereabout of the child.

Joy Idah Mudi, the mother of the said child, however says she had yet to see her child before the baby went missing. She said the improper arrangement of the Maternity made them put her at a separate ward from the child.
