3 Policemen Arrested For Allegedly Killing Suspect

The Assistant Inspector – General of Police in charge of Zone 5 Headquarters, Rasheed Olatunde Akintunde, has ordered the arrest of three policemen for allegedly killing one Samson Omonuwa in Delta State.

Omonuwa was reportedly clubbed to death by the policemen.

The arrest of the policemen, according to the Zone 5 spokesman, Emeka Iheanacho, was sequel to a petition written by father of the deceased, Mr. Anthony Omonuwa.

The father alleged that the deceased and his friend were involved in a fight.


He said his son’s friend later brought three policemen from the Enerhen Police Station to arrest the deceased.

He alleged that the policemen clubbed his son and carried him in unconscious state to the police station at Enerhen before taking him to B Division at Okumagba Avenue where he died.

The police spokesman said the AIG has ordered the arrest of the policemen allegedly involved in the murder while investigation continues.
